Version 0.8.0 of gdvdslides has been released. The following changes have been made to this version.

• Speed up all menu items and other controls.
• Set Ok button in Transitions/Other button to default.
• Zero-fill slideshow duration dialog information.
• Use floating point duration values instead of integers everywhere.
• Set program icon display.
• Hook up system quit to ask to save work.
• Remove slideshow title in settings dialog.
• Remove drag and drop functionality to prevent other controls problems.

The online manual for gdvdslides has also been updated to reflect changes with version 0.8.0.

The installation problem that occurred with version 0.7.0 has been repaired in this release.

When installing gdvdslides, a menu entry should be inserted in Applications | Sound & Video. This does not occur. This version of gdvdslides does not show up anywhere in the menu.

• Clear picture and effects when removing a slide.

Version 0.6.0 of gdvdslides has been released. The following changes have been made to this version.

• Added an insert before/after capability in transitions/other dialog
• Added an edit pop-up dialog for minor editing of slides
• Fixed a bug in New slideshow code
• Added a drag and drop capability to the slide list
• Changed the cursor when drawing on an image
• Fixed a bug where effects are sometimes lost.

A couple of days ago, I added the 64-bit package for gdvdslides to the web site. I discovered that there was an error in that package. I have corrected the error and uploaded a corrected package to the Download section of the web site. Sorry for the inconvenience.

gdvdslides is a gtk2.0-based graphical user interface for the command line program dvd-slideshow. dvd-slideshow allows you to create a video from a set of JPEG image files and audio files. The created video can be saved in several formats; the default format is VOB, which is the format that a video DVD uses.
